Caring For Bruises

Published on 23 April 2022 at 01:27

Summer is coming, and once again, kids will be out riding bikes, skating, and frolicking. Accidents may happen. Bruises may not be preventable. Are you ready? What's in your first aid kit?

First aid kits can be expensive. However, making your own can be fun especially if you make it into a project, involving your kids.

To make an at-home first aid kit, you can use a plastic shoe box, or an old shoe box is fine. Clean the box with sanitizer before using to store your first aid products.

Below is a list of products you'll need to purchase to create your home made first aid kit. You can make purchasing the products, a neighborhood trip by visiting your local 99 Cent store for products. Here's what you'll need:
1. Gloves
2. Roller Gauze
3. 4×4 Gauze Pads
4. Medical Tape5. Bandage
6. Saline water
7. Neosporin
8. Disposable ice pack

It may be helpful to have your child's pediatrician number stored in your phone. Most importantly, it only takes a second for a child to get injured. Never leave a child unattended.
